Mr. Karsten Kaemling

Mr. Karsten Kaemling, of Vancouver, British Columbia, is a Life Member of the Canadian Kennel Club and has been a licensed CKC Judge since 1999. Karsten is approved to judge the Terrier, Toy, Herding, Hound, and the Non-Sporting Groups with the CKC.

Apart from his assignments in Canada he has also judged in Germany, New Zealand, Russia, Australia and Ireland.

Karsten has bred and exhibited the Airedale Terrier and the Sealyham Terrier, along with the Afghan Hound. He is also the pioneer of the Cesky Terrier in Canada, having imported the breed, launching the national breed club, and eventually achieving full recognition for the breed with the CKC in the year 2000.

Karsten has written many articles which have been published internationally and has also given numerous seminars at judges’ education study groups. He has served on the Canadian Kennel Club Registration Committee, and is currently serving on the Canadian Kennel Club Discipline Committee. Karsten has also participated as a mentor and instructor at dog handling classes especially geared towards the novice exhibitor.

When not busy with his volunteer activities within his community or at a dog show, Karsten enjoys his time with his Cesky Terriers.
